Smoothies can be one of the most delicious and healthy breakfast options around. In today's society, many people are tight on time and because of this many of us choose more convenient breakfast foods. The problem with convenience is that almost no "on the go" fast convenient food is healthy. The only foods that come to mind that you can just grab and eat while you run is fruits and vegetables. With a little bit of preparation, smoothies can be quite convenient as well. If you think about it, if you have to prepare for 15 minutes on a Sunday night, cutting fruit, packaging fruit, or whatever else you may need to do, that only amounts to 3 minutes per weekday. Yeah you might have to dump the fruit in a blender and throw a dollop of yogurt and a splash of juice in there. But the difference in the health benefits to you are comparable. In my opinion, it's well worth it. Many people report feeling more "alive" and energetic from eating right. I believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it sets the basis for what your body will be using as fuel for the day as well as kicking off your metabolism. Give your body nothing but goodness, and you will feel great!
