The idea is using a drink or smoothie to substitute out a meal or snack item is not a new concept. People have been using nutritious liquids to aid them in weight loss for years! Personally, I find that smoothies made excellent breakfast items. You can either drink them alone or have them with something else. With all the vegetables and fruits out there you have endless combinations to try!

Just drinking smoothies will not make you lose weight. Losing weight is a 2 part process. Number 1 - Not putting junk in your body. Number 2 - Getting the junk out of your body. If you only do one of these things, you will most likely not succeed. And yes, it is easier for some people than others. Diet and exercise work and they work well! 1 - "Im In Love With The Cocoa"

Ingredients


  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 banana
  • 8 oz Greek yogurt
  • cinnamon
  • 2 ice cubes
2 - Mango Smoothie


  • ¼ c mango cubes
  • ¼ c mashed ripe avocado
  • ½ c mango juice
  • ¼ c fat-free vanilla yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 6 ice cubes
3 - Lemon Orange Smoothie With Flax Seed 


  • 1 c skim or soy milk
  • 6 oz (80-calorie) lemon yogurt
  • 1 med orange peeled
  • Handful of ice
  • 1 Tbsp flaxseed oil 
4 - Peanut Butter And Jelly Smoothie 

  • 4 ounces plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups chopped fresh or frozen strawberries

  • 1/2 cup soft tofu
  • 1 cup vanilla soy milk
